Here’s 5 interesting federal grants posted this week you may be interested in:

1. Department of State (DOS) – Small Business Network of the Americas Partnership

The Small Business Network of the Americas (SBNA) was launched at the Sixth Summit of the Americas in April 2012 to promote economic growth, social inclusion, and strengthen SBDCs and micro-, small-, and medium-sized enterprises through innovation and competitiveness in the countries of the Americas.

The SBNA Partnership Program is intended to incentivize small business service providers in the Western Hemisphere to build center-to-center partnerships and carry out cooperative activities through a small grants program to increase trade opportunities for MSMEs in the region.

2. Health and Human Services (HHS) – Methodology and Measurement in the Behavioral and Social Sciences (R01)

The National Institute of Health (NIH) invites qualified researchers to submit grant applications aimed at improving and developing methodology in the behavioral and social sciences through innovations in research design, measurement, data collection, and data analysis techniques.

3. Department of the Interior (DOI) – Great Lakes Restoration Initiative, Partners for Fish and Wildlife

The Great Lakes Restoration Initiative targets the most significant environmental problems in the Great Lakes ecosystem by funding and implementing federal projects that address these problems. One goal is to improve habitat and wildlife protection and restoration.

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Partners for Fish and Wildlife (PFW) Program anticipates funding wetland and associated upland habitat restoration and enhancement projects for conservation of native Great Lakes fish and wildlife populations, particularly migratory birds.

4. National Science Foundation (NSF) – Research Experiences for Undergraduates

The Research Experiences for Undergraduates program supports active research participation by undergraduate students in any of the areas of research funded by the National Science Foundation. REU projects involve students in meaningful ways in ongoing research programs or in research projects specifically designed for the REU program.

5. Small Business Administration (SBA) – Service-Disabled Veteran Entrepreneurship Training Program

This is a training grant available for up to six grant awardees with the purpose of supporting organizations that currently deliver entrepreneurship training program(s) to service-disabled veteran entrepreneurs who aspire to be small business owners or currently own a small business.

The grants help the recipients to further build their capacity to market and deliver their existing entrepreneurship training program(s).
