This week, federal agencies posted over 50 funding opportunity announcements (FOA). These grants span from research on global carbon trends to the human brain, as well as highway safety programs and support for our national parks.
Here are four of these funding opportunities you should check out:
1) National Science Foundation (NSF) – Computer Science for All
This program aims to provide all U.S. students the opportunity to participate in computer science (CS) and computational thinking (CT) education in their schools at the K-12 levels.
With this solicitation, the National Science Foundation (NSF) focuses on researcher-practitioner partnerships (RPPs) that foster the research and development needed to bring CS/CT to all schools.
2) Department of Transportation (DOT) – Demonstration Project Promoting Highway Safety Program Guideline (HSPG) No. 13
This announcement from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is to provide assistance to State Highway Safety Offices with older driver populations to incorporate the Highway Safety Guidelines No. 13 with a comprehensive older driver safety program.
The grant opportunity is aimed at assisting States with high older driver populations
3) National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) – ROSES 2016: Carbon Monitoring System: Continuing Prototype Product Development, Research, and Scoping
This ROSES funding opportunity solicits basic and applied research in support of NASA’s Science Mission Directorate (SMD).
More specifically, the Carbon Monitoring System (CMS) is designed to make significant contributions in characterizing, quantifying, understanding, and predicting the evolution of global carbon sources and sinks through improved monitoring of carbon stocks and fluxes.
4) U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) – Sri Lanka Social Cohesion and Reconciliation
USAID is currently preparing a solicitation to advance peacebuilding, social cohesion and reconciliation in the country.
USAID will aim to positively transform relationships across traditional lines of division and foster the development of a common national identify among all Sri Lankans by supporting institutions, processes and stakeholders at the national, sub-national and community levels.
