Here are the five federal grant opportunities that are getting the most views so far this month. These grants range from the promotion of religious tolerance in Afghanistan to improving health workforce training in the United States of America.
5) Engaging Youth in Promoting Tolerance, Pluralism, and the Human Rights of Marginalized Populations in Afghanistan – Department of State (DOS)
The U.S. DOS, Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor (DRL) announces an open competition for organizations interested in submitting applications for projects that support policy objective to promote religious tolerance, pluralism, and the human rights of marginalized populations through engaging youth.
DRL’s objective is to initiate discussions at the local and national level with youth about their attitudes and behavior toward religious minorities and marginalized populations.
4) Service Area Competition – Additional Area – Department of Health and Human Services (HHS)
This Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) announcement solicits applications for the Health Center Program’s Service Area Competition – Additional Area (SAC-AA).
The purpose of the SAC-AA funding opportunity is to ensure continued access to comprehensive, culturally competent, quality primary health care services for communities and vulnerable populations currently served by the Health Center Program.
3) Partnering to Accelerate Entrepreneurship 3.0 – Agency for International Development (USAID)
The Global Development Alliance (GDA) Annual Program Statement (APS) invites private businesses, financial institutions, chambers of commerce, industry associations, private grant-making foundations, entrepreneurs, investors, philanthropists, and other private-sector organizations to identify and suggest ways we can work together to address key challenges in the developing world in a manner that advances our respective interests and objectives.
In addition, the APS invites and encourages applicants to engage and work with private sector partners to identify critical development problems and develop initial ideas about how we might work together to solve those problems.
2) Comprehensive Addiction and Recovery Act: Building Communities of Recovery – HHS
The purpose of this Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) program is to mobilize resources within and outside of the recovery community to increase the prevalence and quality of long-term recovery support from substance abuse and addiction.
These grants are intended to support the development, enhancement, expansion, and delivery of recovery support services (RSS) as well as promotion of and education about recovery.
1) Behavioral Health Workforce Education and Training Program – HHS
This HRSA program aims to develop and expand the behavioral health workforce serving populations across the lifespan, including rural and medically underserved areas. It places special emphasis on establishing or expanding meaningful, longitudinal internships or field placement programs in behavioral health that include interprofessional training for students/interns, faculty, and field supervisors to provide quality behavioral health services.
Grant recipients will help close the gap in access to behavioral health care services by establishing partnerships with a broad range of organizations and community partners to ensure a wide recruitment of students, opportunities for field placements, career development, and provide job placement services.

Hello, I see that grants.gov is actively responding to inquiries, so I will add mine as well. I am looking for grants that would assist me with opening a non-profit staffing agency that also provides life skill training, etc., to males and females coming out of jail/prison and attempting to re-enter the workforce.

Greetings,
I am a psychotherapist. I’ve had a community mental health center for the past 16 years. In the past 2 years I created an emotional literacy program (for profit) for children to teach them how to develop the correct thought patterns from the beginning of life, so they do not end up in my or any mental health center later in life.
I am looking for grants to pay for the implementation of the program in a multitude of schools and after school programs presently working with underserved children.
Thank you so much,
Beatriz

I’m a Supermarket Executive with a chain of stores in low income areas. We are also connected to a chain of clinics that offer healthcare to the elderly and low income families with full transportation. We are currently working on a system to get high quality nutritious foods delivered to our trade areas at low prices. The vast majority of our customers are SNAP recipients and our employees are hired from these same low income areas. We need a large grant to begin this new system that not only feeds these areas but employ and increase the standard of living in these areas that need it so desperately. Who can I get in touch with that can understand and fund grants of this type and amounts. Thanks , Ken

Hi Dava, here are the instructions to see whether your application was submitted and validated: https://www.grants.gov/help/html/help/Applicants/CheckApplicationStatus/Check_Application_Status.htm However, Grants.gov does not track the awarding of grants, so you will need to reach out to the grant-making agency.
