Lab to Marketplace: Tools for Brain and Behavioral Research (R43/R44 – Clinical Trial Optional)

  • This Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) encourages the translation of technologies for brain or behavioral research from academic and other non-small business research sectors to the marketplace. The program seeks Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) grant applications that propose to further develop, make more robust, and make more user-friendly such technologies in preparation for commercial dissemination.

 

Rural Cooperative Development Grant

  • The primary objective of the RCDG program is to improve the economic condition of rural areas by assisting individuals or entities in the startup, expansion or operational improvement of rural cooperatives and other business entities. Grants are awarded competitively on an annual basis to Rural Cooperative Development Centers who in turn provide technical assistance to individuals and entities.

 

Assistance to High Energy Cost Communities

  • Department of Agriculture, Utilities Programs
  • Current Closing Date for Applications: June 24, 2019 
  • The Rural Utilities Service (RUS), an agency of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), announces the availability of up to $10 million in competitive grants to assist communities with extremely high energy costs.  The grant funds may be used to acquire, construct, or improve energy generation, transmission, or distribution facilities serving communities where the average annual residential expenditure for home energy exceeds 275% of the national average.  Eligible projects also include on-grid and off-grid renewable energy projects and the implementation of energy efficiency and energy conservation projects for eligible communities.

 

Socially Disadvantaged Groups Grant

  • The Rural Business-Cooperative Service announces the availability of $3,000,000 in competitive grant funds for the FY 2019 Socially-Disadvantaged Groups Grant (SDGG) program. The purpose of this program is to provide technical assistance to Socially-Disadvantaged Groups in rural areas.  Eligible applicants include Cooperatives, Groups of Cooperatives, and Cooperative Development Centers.  This program supports Rural Development’s (RD) mission of improving the quality of life for rural Americans and commitment to directing resources to those who most need them.

 

Dairy Business Innovation Initiatives

  • Current Closing Date for Applications: June 17, 2019
  • The Dairy Business Innovation (DBI) Initiatives support dairy businesses in the development, production, marketing and distribution of dairy products. DBI Initiatives provide direct technical assistance and grants to dairy businesses, including niche dairy products, such as specialty cheese, or dairy products derived from the milk of a dairy animal, including cow, sheep and goat milk.
