In April, federal government agencies, along with a network of nonprofit organizations and individuals, have provided support and funding to raise awareness and prevent crimes of sexual assault.
This month is “an opportunity to underscore the scourge of sexual assault on our society and the trauma this violent crime imposes on its victims,” says Acting Assistant Attorney General Alan R. Hanson (OJP Works to Serve Victims of Sexual Assault, Office of Justice Programs Blog).
