1. Department of the Interior – Great Lakes Fish and Wildlife Restoration Act

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service requests interested entities to submit restoration, research and Regional Project proposals for the restoration of the Great Lakes Basin fish and wildlife resources, as authorized under the Great Lakes Fish and Wildlife Restoration Act (16 USC 941c). The purpose of the Great Lakes Fish and Wildlife Restoration Act (GLFWRA) is to provide assistance to States, Indian Tribes, and other interested entities to encourage cooperative conservation, restoration and management of the fish and wildlife resources and their habitats in the Great Lakes Basin.

#FundingFriday: 5 New Federal Grants for Non-Profit Organizations Working in the Humanities, Cultural Preservation & More

This week, we’re highlighting new and recent federal grant opportunities for which non-profit organizations are eligible.

These grants come from the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), the Department of State (DOS), the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH), and the Department of the Interior (DOI).

1. HHS – Service Area Competition

This HHS announcement solicits applications for the Health Center Program’s Service Area Competition (SAC). The Health Center Program supports patient-directed public and private nonprofit organizations that provide primary and preventive health care services to the Nation’s medically underserved. The purpose of the SAC funding opportunity is to ensure continued access to comprehensive, culturally competent, quality primary health care services for communities and vulnerable populations.
