“Suicide is a serious public health problem that causes immeasurable pain, suffering, and loss to individuals, families, and communities nationwide” (Suicide Prevention, SAMHSA.gov). With nearly 40,000 people in the U.S. who die annually from suicide, it takes a collective effort of community members, professionals, families, and institutions to help prevent suicide.
